Key Skills and Background

Wayne has been responsible for Designing, Developing, and implementing literally thousands of Traffic Management Plans (TMPS) in the wider Auckland area. These have covered small local events up to large events of International significance including APEC.
Wayne’s wide experience enables him to assess the likely level of disruption in other areas and to minimise the impact through good planning.
Wayne’s excellent knowledge of Traffic Management has been gained from more than a decade of first hand experience and as a result of this he has a detailed understanding of local Traffic volumes and patterns.
Wayne has also built up productive long –standing relationships with the Road Controlling Authorities.
Wayne’s natural leadership and mentoring skills enable him to foster a strong team spirit and build strong teams that are focused on delivering a quality service in a safe environment.
Wayne’s back ground and personal Qualities make him the obvious choice for this key role.
Wayne is responsible for the day-to-day programming and management of our Traffic Management and will be the point of contact for the client.

Relevant Project Experience

SH 20 to SH 1 Connection Leighton’s-Works

Wayne was the Traffic Manager involved in implementing the physical closures for this Contract. Numerous Full Motorway, local MCC Road and State Highway closures of all types have been implemented to high Traffic and Pedestrian volume area’s Day and Night Works

High brook Interchange

Wayne was the Traffic Manager for this Project as the Sub Contractor to HEBS Construction for the Duration of the project

This Project had numerous Motorway and Lane Closures for Bridge Work and Surfacing

This project was completed to a high standard and the Head Contractor complemented on this

Greenlane Widening –ACC-Transit

Wayne was the Traffic Manager for this Project as the Sub-Contractor to HEBS Construction

Due to the professional approach of the High Brook project HEBS had no hesitation of engaging Wayne as the Sub-Contractor to this project.

The project had a very high profile due to the disruptions of the local Business and Works imported a new Delineation System to install during the project rather than have Cones scattered all over the project and this was a great success with the Head Contractor

Some high profile Traffic Management was implemented on this project that was outside of Normal Practice and this is now Talked about and in the Training Manual for Level 2-3 Non Practicing done by John Boyson on behalf of NZTA

Greenhithe Motorway Extension Downers Transit

Project Manager for Traffic Management on this project for ITS Works - Another challenging project completed successfully without incident

APEC Conference

Wayne was in charge for the implementation of Motorway and Ramp Closures for the Transportation of President Clinton from Auckland Airport to Auckland City along the Motorway Network in conjunction with the New Zealand Police and Transit

This was the complete Closure of the Network while the procession was on the move as nothing was allow on to the network

A very successful Venture

General

Involved with Numerous Transit Resurfacing Parcels on the Motorway Network over 10 years which involved Motorway and Lane Closures and also involved the only Lane Rental agreement which was Parcel C Contract MA 1966

This agreement with Transit was new to the system in New Zealand where if the Contractor was off the network late then a penalty was imposed for every hour

Works managed to complete the project without this occurring
